Client: Petnah

Location: San Diego, California

Industry: Premium Pet Lifestyle Products

Project Type:  Product photography, lifestyle content, e-commerce creative direction, packaging visuals

Petnah is a premium pet lifestyle brand focused on elevated essentials for dogs and their humans — from stylish collars and harnesses to bandanas, teepees, toys, and more. The brand needed a clear, recognizable visual language to stand out in a saturated niche.

The Challenge

Petnah was preparing for its official launch and needed:

  • Cohesive brand photography for social, web, and product packaging

  • A clear aesthetic that balanced luxury and warmth

  • Product shots + lifestyle images featuring real pets and clean setups

  • A scalable photo system to support future product lines and seasonal campaigns

My Role

I partnered with the Petnah team to deliver:

  1. Creative direction (mood boards, shot concepts, props, and surfaces)

  2. Studio product photography with consistent lighting and styling

  3. Lifestyle shoots featuring dogs of various sizes and breeds

  4. Packaging-ready assets for e-commerce and Amazon formats

  5. Template creation for future in-house shoots

Strategy & Approach

1. Brand Positioning Visual System

We co-developed a visual identity that was:

  • Gender-neutral but warm

  • Minimalist, organic tones (to match packaging and logo)

  • Modular across product categories (collars, mats, bandanas, etc.)

2. Photo Sessions

  • Studio setup: Neutral backdrops, textured props (linen, wood, clay bowls)

  • Lifestyle: Outdoor shots with pet parents, pets resting in teepees, and product-in-use (leash walks, cuddle time, etc.)

  • Each product had 3 formats: full body, detail crop, lifestyle integration

3. Post-Production & Delivery

  • Edited for natural colors, earthy saturation, and product clarity

  • Delivered assets by use case: Shopify, Instagram feed/reels, Pinterest pins, and printed cards

Results

  • 85+ branded product photos delivered in 4 weeks

  • All assets launched across Instagram, Shopify, and Pinterest

  • Brand was featured in top boutique pop-ups in Tijuana + Baja

  • Assets reused in collaborations with local pet influencers

  • Sales increased 3x during the launch window compared to projections
